| The towns and villages in and around Dartmoor are all wonderful places to explore, to shop, to investigate; the hamlets are delights and secrets waiting to be found. There are none where time stands still, they are all working, thriving places albeit at different levels and paces.
Our favourite for shopping is probably Chagford, but we love Tavistock and Ashburton to the south is also lovely. For bigger things, Plymouth is only 40 minutes away and Exeter a little longer.
